Who likes to wait in long lines when you don’t have to? Not us, that’s for sure. We bet you may not be familiar with the fact that single rider lines are even available at Disney World. These lines can range from a walk-on time frame to less than 30 minutes total. Check out all the info below for everything you need to know about all the single rider lines at Disney World and where you can find them.

What is the single rider line?

Single rider lines at Disney World were designed so that attractions would be as efficient as possible by filling up ride vehicles.

When boarding an attraction, cast members will do their best to make sure families and groups are seated together. If there’s an odd number of guests in that group, this may leave an empty spot in that seat. The Disney cast member will then bring someone from the single riders line to fill that vacant seat.

The single rider line will move way faster than the regular line and will have fewer people occupying it. Therefore, resulting in much shorter wait times. Just make sure you are ready to board the attraction when a cast member calls on you as you’re usually one of the last guests to load.

Which rides have single rider lines at Disney World?

Expedition Everest is an attraction with single rider lines at Disney World

There are 4 different rides that have single rider lines at Disney World, all located in different parks. These include Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, Test Track at Epcot, and the 2 attractions at Hollywood Studio’s, Smuggler’s Run and Rock n’ Roller Coaster.

We feel that the best uses of the single rider lines are at Test Track, Smuggler’s Run, and Expedition Everest, as those lines seem to move the quickest compared to the regular lines. However, Rock n’ Roller Coaster tends to move a little slower, but still can be a good option for solo riders.

Who are single rider lines at Disney World designed for?

Theses lines are typically designed for anyone 7 years old and up. Although, not all children at the age of 7 would be comfortable riding an attraction alone. You know your child the best, so that’s a call for you to make.

Even if you have a group of people wanting to experience an attraction like Test Track, the single riders line can be a great option. There’s a common misconception that if you have a guest with you, you won’t be able to hop in the single riders line. No matter how big your party is, you can still utilize this line.

Just know that when using single riders line, you’ll be in a different row and maybe even a different ride vehicle than the other guests with you. However, on the bright side, this is a great opportunity to meet new people.

Disadvantages of single rider lines

Some disadvantages do come when you choose to use the single rider lines at Disney World. When you don’t go through the regular line, you’ll miss some of the interactive features and details of the ques.

For instance, Test Track has a part in the que where you can design your own vehicle to see how it will perform during the ride. This is fun if you have any kids or car enthusiasts in your party.

Also, you don’t get to experience the attraction with your family or group. You may end up in the row behind them, but that’s just left up to chance. Along with the attractions that take your photo, you won’t be able to capture the moment altogether. Your photos will be with strangers.
