When it comes to food, Animal Kingdom is not lacking in any department. Here you will find a list of the quick service restaurants ranked from best to worst. Animal Kingdom is outlined with food from different areas of the world, so buckle up. You can head down Na’vi River into Pandora all the way to dinosaur times and back to backyard BBQ, so take your pick.

Satu’li Canteen

Satu'li Canteen is our top quick service restaurant in animal kingdom

If you’re looking for one of the Top-Rated Restaurants in ALL of Walt Disney World then look no further. Since opening in 2017, The Satu’li Canteen has had a great response. With tons of different options to choose from, their signature customizable “bowl” and desserts inspired from the Na’vi of Pandora are nothing to pass up.

Customizable bowls include choosing a protein, a base and sauce. Proteins include a variety of meats from shrimp to chicken or even tofu. Next, the bases to choose from are anything from quinoa and vegetable salad, red and sweet potato hash, to rice and romaine and kale salad. Finally top it off with a special sauce of your choice. Bowl prices range from $12.49 – 16.99, except the Sampler which can feed 4+ people is priced at $74.99. Sounds a bit extreme, but once you divide that up, it balances out to be less than $19.00 per person.

Kids meals are also available here with similar options to the “bowls.” Paired with vegetable chips, grapes and drink. However a couple different options that are highly recommended are Cheese Quesadilla and the signature Cheeseburger Steamed Pod.

Also, some desserts that are an interesting twist with colorful moose include Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse and the Chocolate Cake with banana cream topping. We recommend the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse if you want the full Pandora effect and, of course, an Insta-worthy photo.

Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe

Yak and Yeti is a restaurant featuring Asian cuisine. This restaurant is located at the base of Mt. Everest and offers a wide variety of food including small plates and sharable dinners. A few featured items include soups, salads, egg rolls, noodles/rice, duck, ribs, crab cakes and more. With prices ranging around $6.00 to $32.00, there is something for everyone.

Another great fact, this restaurant is offered both as a quick-service and sit down option, which is nice to pull away from the theme park vibe if you want.

Flame Tree Barbecue

Although Flame Tree BBQ does not offer any real theming or decor, and no indoor seating is available, do not let that deter you from visiting. With some of the best barbeque around, you’ll find out real quick that it is worth way more than the prices they set.

Fall-off-the-bone ribs, chicken and pulled pork that will make your mouth water just thinking about them. These specialty meats are definitely calling all carnivores out. With baked mac and cheese and french fries covered in pulled pork and cheese, you’re only left wanting more. SIDE NOTE: We highly recommend the french fries. Priced at only $6.99, you just can’t beat it.

Now, as for the outdoor seating, this restaurant offers some great views. Here you can see Expedition Everest looking over Discovery River. This is also great if you want to watch the nighttime show “Rivers of Light” from Animal Kingdom in a whole new way.

Harambe Market

With an offering of many African inspired foods and the atmosphere of a true market, this is one unique place to eat. Every item here is perfectly priced at $14.99 and under, suited for many allergy friendly diets and offers many specialty drinks. Here the main entrees include rib or chicken bowls, pork sausage and chicken/beef/lamb gyro paired with an African slaw, salad or salsa. Of course, the kids meals include corn dogs and Uncrustables as well, so the whole family can enjoy.

Harambe Market is a very family-friendly experience at Animal Kingdom which draws much inspiration from the culture and, Disney’s The Lion King. Constructed around an old colonial-era train depot, this marketplace allows the produce and raw goods to be delivered daily by the local locomotive. How much fresher can you get?

Restaurantosaurus

For quick-service burgers, sandwiches drinks and more, Restaurantosaurus would be something to “RAWR” about. For basic American food from salad to nuggets and burgers, this place is also a good choice for the entire family.

Themed after a paleontologist student home turned restaurant, the props and scenery give you a blast from the past vibe. At times you can even feel like you are in a science lab yourself. With Dino skeletons hanging from part of the ceiling, each room has its own theme and is definitely worth exploring further.

Pizzafari

Located in Discovery Island of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this colorful and unique restaurant is one you can’t miss. Of course, what more would they serve than just what the name entails; PIZZA. With all food priced at $14.99 and under, this is, again, another definite option for the whole family to enjoy.

Anything from flat breads, pizza, soup, salad and dessert this quick-service restaurant is one of a kind. You will order and pay at the counter, then you are awarded with a table number to which they will bring the food out to you wherever you sit. Each table is neatly set with plates and utensils rolled in a napkin for you. Additionally, be sure to take time out to look around at all the artwork found on the walls. Fun Fact: The artist who painted them actually worked on The Jungle Book and Peter Pan.

Conclusion

We hope you enjoyed this list and hopefully it will help you make a decision on where to eat next time you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Also, if you’ve been to some of these restaurants, let us know in the comments if you agree with our top pick down to the last. We’d love to share more food photos and swap stories with you.
