We all know that once any Disney vacation is over there is a sense of sadness associated with it. With that sadness we are always looking for new ways to bring the magic home with us. We have found 10 easy ways to do just that.

Watch a Disney Movie or Listen to Disney Tunes Playlist

watch Disney+ movies to bring a little Disney magic home

With so many streaming services available today such as Netflix and Disney+ the possibilities of finding a Disney movie to watch from the comfort of your own home is practically endless. Another positive to the access from home is the fact that you can easily watch two or more different genres in one night to suit the whole family.

Another fun thing that we like to do is just get on YouTube and simply search “Disney playlist.” There should be several options that pop up for you to choose from. You can play these out loud while you get ready for your day or simply in your earbuds to yourself. Either way, you’re guaranteed to be put in a better mood. Another thing this can do is bring a bit of nostalgia to you as well.

Make a Disney Inspired Recipe

Try to recreate the iconic Dole Whip at home

Are you a Disney foodie? We all have our “thing” at Disney that we enjoy most and we know for some that it’s the food. There are so many options that can only be found at the parks so we definitely understand missing the classics. An easy way to bring some tasty treats home is to get on Pinterest and look up some of your favorites.

A couple Disney Inspired recipes that we have personally found are Dole Whip cupcakes, Ohana bread pudding or even LeFou’s Brew.

Learn to Draw a Disney Character

Russell from UP would be a great Disney character to try your hand at

Whether you consider yourself a fine artist or an amateur, drawing a Disney character can be both fun and relaxing. You could learn by looking back and forth at a photo, a figurine in your home, or if you’re like us, you may need a more step-by-step guide. We have found that YouTube is a great resource – Drawing with Disney Animation studios.

Here you can check out “How to Draw Olaf from Frozen.”

Virtual runDisney Race

Are you an active person who likes to run in half-marathons or 5K’s? If so, then a virtual runDisney Race would be a great option. Sounds a little skeptical at first thinking how you could do a race virtually. However, we have yet to see anything Disney can’t do or won’t try. You can find out more about pricing and signing up at https://www.rundisney.com/events/virtual/

DIY Disney T-shirt

Shirt

Maybe you’re a princess fan or a simple Mickey lover; a great weekend activity, with children especially, is to make your own Disney T. We love seeing everyones shirts when visiting the parks and making your own is a great way to get attention.

Some great ways to do T-shirts is with tie-dye or even find yourself a silhouette of your favorite character and paint around that. Then you will have a great stand-out and one-of-a-kind shirt to rock at the parks and at home. Also, super easy and quick if you’re feeling even more “crafty,” a simple pocket T can be made. Head on over to your favorite craft store such as Hobby Lobby or Michael’s to pick out a plain T, then buy a small square of your favorite Disney material. Head on home and sew a little pocket on it. Boom, done!

Watch a Disney Park Vlog on YouTube

Watching Disney Parks videos on Youtube is a great way to bring a little Disney magic home

We honestly can’t stress this one enough. We absolutely love watching vlogs from some of our favorite Disney YouTubers. When we are away from the parks, we find it easy to keep up with festivals and new park construction this way. Also, don’t forget the seasonal food. They show it all.

Some of our favorites include TheTimTracker and DIS Unplugged. OhYeahTV also has a few older videos we love to watch as well.

Watch the Imagineering Story on Disney +

Again, mentioning Disney+, but have you seen the Imagineering Story listed there yet? This show goes into great detail of how the parks were built and how all the characters came into play. Lots of footage with Walt Disney himself, this show is sure to make you appreciate all the work that went into his original vision.

Read “Kingdom Keepers” book Series

Check out Keepers of the Kingdom

This children’s novel series was first released in 2005. If you or your young adult children like adventure with a little fantasy, you will love these. The main plot follows 5 teens who are holographic host in the Disney Theme Parks during the day, and by night they battle Disney villains from taking over the parks and the entire world. Sounds intriguing.

Plan your next Disney Vacation

Start planning your next Disney vacation

Do we sound crazy yet? Well as odd as it may seem, one of the best ways to bring Disney Magic home is to constantly be planning your next trip. What did you do on the last trip that you want to do again? What did you hate? In doing this, you can make each trip more and more special. You will easily learn what works for your family and what doesn’t work.

Maybe a cruise is the next thing you want to cross off your vacation list. Now is the time to get all your research in. Between vacations you can begin saving money for your next trip as well, which we all know is one of the most important steps of any trip.

Conclusion

We hope that some activities on this list have sparked some interest for you and your family. We still have a few to cross off ourselves, but we have plenty of time. When you’re away from the parks, keep your head up and bring Disney magic home. See you real soon!
