As we all know, one of the highlights to any trip to Walt Disney World is character meet and greets. We also know that you don’t have to be a kid to fully embrace and enjoy the interactions. Here we have put together a list of all the characters you can meet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From Star Wars to Mickey and Minnie and even Disney Junior, Hollywood Studios has a wide variety to choose from. Read on to see who is here from your list of favorites.
Mickey and Minnie
Mickey & Minnie Mouse – You can eat with Minnie Mouse & her friends at Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood and Vine. This tends to be pretty popular, so remember to make reservations as far in advance as possible. Remember, you can make dinner reservations up to 180 days in advance. Mickey Mouse can be found as Sorcerer Mickey on Commissary Lane. You will find Minnie Mouse alongside Sorcerer Mickey. A PhotoPass photographer will be available to take your picture.
Toy Story
Some of your favorites from Pixar’s Toy Story can be found roaming around the all-new immersive Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios. These characters may not always be found in the same exact location, which adds to the overall experience of the land. However, some of them can usually be found in the same general area.
Woody & Jesse are typically found near the entrance of Toy Story Mania. They will not have a set spot but will be walking around meeting with guests all around the land.
Buzz Lightyear will be hanging out at the entrance of Toy Story Land.
Green Army Men march all around the land and are some of the most entertaining and interactive of all the characters in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Frozen Characters
Anna & Elsa don’t have a character meet and greet here, that can be found in Epcot at the Norway Pavilion. However, you can see them at the For the First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration.
Olaf, the snowman who loves Summer can be found in a cool place called “Celebrity Spotlight” located around the corner from the “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration as well. He is always available for warm hugs and autographs with a PhotoPass photographer there to take your photo.
Star Wars
BB-8 – Meet one of the more beloved droids at Star Wars Launch Bay.
Darth Vader – You can also find Lord Vader in Star Wars Launch Bay. This is a really neat character encounter in a very immersive area.
Rey can be found right outside of Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
Chewbacca will be meandering around in the Resistance encampment or in the Black Spire Outpost.
Kylo Ren can be seen in the First Order encampment. He also can be found marching through Black Spire Outpost with his Stormtroopers.
Vi Moradi will also be roaming around Black Spire Outpost.
Disney Junior
If you have small children, then we’re sure you’re familiar with the Disney Junior characters. The best place to meet several in one place is to book a reservation with Hollywood and Vine, for Disney Junior’s Play n’ Dine meal. However, do keep in mind, this is for breakfast only. Of course, you can also participate in the Disney Junior Dance Party featuring Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, Timon and Mickey Mouse.
Doc McStuffins can be found at her backyard playhouse clinic found in Animation Courtyard.
Sophia the First can be found outside of Disney Junior meeting guests with Jake the Pirate and posing for photos. Sophia the First can also be found Live on Stage in Animation Courtyard.
Vampirina will be right outside the doors of Stage 5, Disney Junior Dance Party location, again in Animation Courtyard.
Other Favorites
Common Disney favorites such as Daisy, Donald, Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Goofy can be found near Center Stage.
Star-Lord and Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy have been found inside “Walt Disney Presents” building which is located on the right of Mickey Avenue before you head into Toy Story Land. We were lucky enough to actually learn a few dance moves from Star-Lord himself when we visited the park in 2017. You can see those “smooth” moves below. The move on the right was called “shopping cart.”
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan (Sulley) have also been found inside “Walt Disney Presents.” This famous duo should remain there until September 30, 2019.
The excitement can continue as the meet and greets vary and change year to year inside “Walt Disney Presents.” In addition to the characters, you can also find some history about the life of Walt Disney, who started it all, along with models of upcoming things opening around Walt Disney World in general.
In the End
You won’t leave Disney’s Hollywood Studios without great photo-ops from all your favorite characters. As you can see from the photos above, we’ve met several of them ourselves. Please let us know in the comments what characters you’ve had the best interaction with. Who do you have your eye out for next time you head to the parks?
